Sherm Anderson
Owner, President, Chairman of the Board – Sherm acquired the stud mill and finger joint facilities formerly owned by Louisiana Pacific Corporation in 2004. Sherm has also owned and operated Sun Mountain Logging, LLC since 1976. He has been active in the timber industry since the late 60’s driving log truck at the age of 15. He has served as President of The American Loggers Council and has earned numerous awards and recognitions from various business and trade associations. In 2003, he served a term in the Montana State Legislature as a Senator representing the areas of Deer Lodge and Helena.
Ken Rankin
Plant Manager – Ken joined Sun Mountain Lumber in October 2021.
Christopher Anderson
Controller, Network Admin and Treasurer of the Board – Christopher graduated from Montana State University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration. He joined Sun Mountain Lumber in June of 2011. In 2018 he graduated from Helena College with an associate’s degree in Computer Technology/Network Administration.
Rikki McQueary
Purchasing & Logistics Manager – Rikki joined Sun Mountain Lumber in January of 2015.
April Kersch
Safety & Environmental Manager – April has been part of the Sun Mountain Lumber team since the beginning of operations. Additional experience with the Deer Lodge facility as LP included production training and quality control, as well as safety and environmental.
