Mountain Pine Beetle

Here are a couple pictures of the current Mountain Pine Beetle infestation that is affecting millions of acres of Lodgepole Pine forest in Montana.  The devastation is so great only a fraction of the bug-killed trees will be salvaged.  These trees will remain useful for lumber production for a number of years.
